Continuous Cast Alloys (CCA)
CCA is a custom manufacturer of premium nickel- and cobalt-based alloy products in the dental, electrode & rod, jewelry, powder, and wire sectors. CCA specializes in crafting high-quality products for aerospace, construction, hard facing, medical, oil & gas, steel, and timber industries. Customers choose CCA for exceptional value, unparalleled product quality, competitive pricing, and worldwide distribution capabilities. Engineered Alloys
With over 100 years of providing the highest quality alloy products and world-class customer service, Engineered Alloys operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that supplies American-made, high-quality products sold and shipped worldwide. We manufacture certified Argon Oxygen Decarburization (AOD) refined ingots of cobalt and nickel-based alloys using two 5-ton induction furnaces and a modern AOD refining unit. Our products include 2,000-pound argon induction heats, 10,000-pound AOD refined heats, and 10,000-pound induction heats.
Reinosa Forgings & Castings
Established in 1918, Reinosa Works has exemplified resilience and adaptation, transitioning from the military sector to developing state-of-the-art technological products and from public to private management. Jason Fowler began consulting with Reinosa in 2010 to enhance alloy development and participated in its acquisition in 2019. Since the acquisition, Reinosa has achieved the following:

Jason Fowler is a seasoned entrepreneur and executive in the steel and metals industry, with over two decades of experience founding, managing, and scaling businesses focused on specialty and carbon steel bar, tubing products, and related sectors. As CEO of Advanced Alloys LLC and owner of JWF Group, Inc., Fowler is recognized for his innovative approach to market development, strategic positioning, and achieving substantial growth in competitive industries.
In 2007, he was inducted into the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame at the University of Illinois at Chicago for his impactful contributions to the Chicago business landscape. Fowler holds board positions with multiple industry organizations and maintains active memberships in the Precision Machined Products Association, Forging Industry Association, Metal Service Center Institute, Investment Casting Institute, American Foundry Society, and National Federation of Independent Business.

Sand Casting – Permanent Patterns
Partnered with Lufkin Power Transmission to revise designs, reducing weight through near-net casting optimization. Designed modular cores and patterns to allow production of multiple parts with shared tooling. Created flask designs to handle multiple parts with improved handling and secure part lines. Developed modular permanent wood cores and patterns with adjustable dimensions. Successfully qualified new suppliers after Lufkin foundry closure in 2015, continuing to present.

Lost Foam Casting Innovation
Engineered cost reduction solution comparing fabricated housing versus cast alternatives. Designed machined foam cores and patterns for sand casting with optimized sand/foam contact surface treatment to improve finish. Developed sprues and filling pattern design for lost foam casting. Completed prototypes at Lufkin Foundry for NF21 high-speed gearbox castings. Determined break-even point for hard tooling at 6–10 unit production level.

Semi-Automatic Line at Oil City Iron Works

Led a collaborative team with Ellwood Engineered Castings on the design of hard tooling for the cast QST sugar mill gearbox housing. Engineered solution for a four-part assembly requiring four separate castings to make complete gearbox assembly. Delivered comprehensive casting solution meeting demanding specifications. Collaborated with ExOne on evaluation of 3D printer sand binder molds for special low-volume projects. Qualified tooling supplier and successfully used for several parts.
